Your consultation with Dr. Troché will involve a thorough review of your medical history to include fertility health, any surgeries, prior treatments, and relevant health conditions. Results from any fertility evaluation (semen analysis, HSG/SIS, hormone testing, etc.) will be reviewed in depth with you and their significance explained. If you have not yet started any fertility testing, Dr. Troché will design a fertility evaluation plan specifically tailored to your needs and to expedite the evaluation process. You will also discuss your specific desires/goals for building your family.
Using information from your medical histories and results of the fertility testing, Dr. Troché will determine an accurate diagnosis, explain how it effects your ability to become pregnant, and present multiple treatment options including anticipated success rates, advantages, and disadvantages. Together with Dr. Troché, you’ll discuss these treatment options and create an individualized and comprehensive treatment plan for you to achieve a successful pregnancy. Nearly 90% of infertility cases are treatable with medical therapies such as drug treatment, surgical repair of reproductive organs, and assisted reproductive techniques such as intrauterine insemination (IUI) and in vitro fertilization (IVF).
During the hour long consultation you’ll get to know Dr. Troché and have all your questions answered. A financial consultation about the treatment options can follow your appointment, if desired. If you decide on IVF as a treatment, you may also meet with Kori Garcia, RN, our IVF Coordinator, who can get you started without delay.
Making a commitment to fertility treatment can be considered a “big step” and many people seek a 2nd opinion for “peace of mind”. TFC offers a complimentary (free) 2nd opinion if: you’ve seen an infertility specialist (Reproductive Endocrinologist) recently and have your records of prior testing and treatment sent to us.
At the consultation, Dr. Troche will review your history, test results, and goals for building your family. He will then present treatment options including anticipated success rates, advantages, and disadvantages. Together you’ll create an individualized and comprehensive treatment plan for you to achieve a successful pregnancy. Over 80% of persons who obtain a 2nd opinion elect to begin treatment with Dr. Troche and TFC.
