Egg Freezing or mature oocyte cryopreservation is a technique for the preservation of reproductive potential in women of reproductive age. The treatment cycle is similar to In Vitro Fertilization with the exception that eggs (oocytes) obtained are frozen and placed in storage for later use, and not fertilized with sperm immediately after retrieval.
